We investigate the response of a rotating BTZ black hole to scalar tidal perturbations. Our results demonstrate that the real component of the tidal response function is non-zero, indicating that rotating BTZ black holes possess non-zero tidal Love numbers. Furthermore, we identify a scale-dependent behavior—commonly referred to as log-running—in the tidal response function. A separate analysis of the extremal rotating BTZ black hole reveals qualitative similarities with its non-extremal counterpart. Additionally, we outline a procedure for calculating the tidal response function for a charged rotating BTZ black hole. |
