Important Notes
- This is the final merit-list of candidates for admission to the Post-M.Sc. programme of the Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics in the session 2019-’20, starting from August 1, 2019.
- For Post-M.Sc. in Biophysical Sciences, total number of seats for admission is 10. Of these 10, 5 will be offered SINP Fellowships and 5 more could be filled up through Extramural Fellowships. SINP Fellowships will be offered strictly as per the serial numbers in the merit list.
- For Post-M.Sc. in Physics (experimental-stream), total number of seats for admission is 20. Of these 20, 10 will be offered SINP Fellowships and 10 more could be filled up through Extramural Fellowships. SINP fellowships will be offered strictly as per the serial numbers in the merit list.
- For Post-M.Sc. in Physics (theory-stream), total number of seats for admission is 10. Of these 10, 5 will be offered SINP Fellowships and 5 more could be filled up through Extramural Fellowships. SINP Fellowships will be offered strictly as per the serial numbers in the merit list.
- Accordingly, in Biophysical Sciences and Physics (theory) merit lists, candidates 1-5 are being offered SINP fellowships and in Physics (experiment)1-10 are being offered SINP fellowships. We will start filling up seats through Extramural Fellowships after exhausting the SINP Fellowships.

You have to confirm your acceptance by email to pmsc.bio[AT]saha.ac.in for Biophysical Sciences, pmsc.exptphys[AT]saha.ac.in for Physics (experiment) and pmsc.phys[AT]saha.ac.in for Physics (theory) at the earliest and latest by July 1, 2019.
Note that unlike many other Institutions, SINP does not charge admission/application fees, expecting your goodwill and you should not take advantage of it. By accepting the offer you are making a formal commitment to join the programme. Accepting and holding on to multiple offers at a time is unethical and may actually harm your own career and of others.
You are most welcome to contact the coordinators and seek your options in SINP before making up your mind. If anybody declines or does not respond by July 1, 2019, the offer will automatically go to the next candiate in the merit-list.
On receiving your acceptance, an official letter with detailed information will be dispatched to your address from the office of the Registrar, SINP.
Candidates are requested to update their Extramural Fellowship status at the earliest or latest by 1st July 2019 by sending the Roll No, name, date of exam and a scanned copy of the Mark statement or award letter via email.
For availing Extramural Fellowships at SINP, the candidate should have a valid Research Fellowship for full five years, starting from 1st August, 2019.
All students who have accepted the offer must come to the Institute by 10:30 am on Aug 1. Please bring all documents as per the offer letter. Please bring a print out of the offer letter. You should reach the classrooms No 3424 (physics students) and 3423 (bio students) to fulfil the joining fomalities.
