Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP) runs an annual 
Summer Students' Programme in which students participate in research and developmental work under the supervision of a  faculty member. This programme is normally offered from mid of May to mid of July (for 60 days).  The selected students will be eligible to receive per diem and travel allowances as per the rules of the Institute.  Limited free hostel accommodations for outstation students will be available. The selection will be based on past academic records of the students and letters of recommendation. For more information about the program, look at the "Program Details" of this website.

Infomation for the students:

In order to participate in this programme, you are requested to acknowledge your participation and also submit the answers to the following queries as soon as possible ( last date by which your answers should reach us by email is 12th May 2022,failing which your selection will be cancelled ) by replying to the email below :

Because of the pandemic and various other restrictions associated with the pandemic, the summer programme will start from the first week of June this year. So, you are also strongly advised to make your travel plans immediately as you would need to join the Institute latest by 6th June, 2022 to participate in the programme. On the day of joining the Institute, you will need to bring the following documents for verification. Your participation in the summer programme is subject to the successful verification of all your documents.

Documents required for verification and submission :

1. ID Card of the University/Institute you belong to. In case you do not have any Institute/
University ID card, you may bring any of the following : Passport/Aadhar/Voter's ID Card.

2. All marksheets starting from 10+2 to current latest marksheet for the degree
being pursued for verification.

3. All travel documents in original would have to be submitted to the office of Scientific
Resources and Information Division (SIRD), Room No 3404 for processing and reimbursement.

If you accept the invitation to participate in summer programme, do you need hostel accommodation ?
 

We would like to make you aware that you will receive your fellowship after the successful completion of the summer programme, hence you are strongly advised to carry enough funds for your food and logistics for the period of stay. Please carry all the necessary details of your bank account which you will have to fill in once you arrive at SINP.
