Prof. Tarak Nath Maity

Research

My research interests lie broadly in astro-particle physics, with a particular focus on dark matter and neutrinos. A wide range of independent observations indicates that nearly 85% of the matter in the Universe is composed of dark matter. My work aims to understand the origin of its present day abundance and investigate its fundamental nature using a variety of astrophysical and terrestrial probes, including stars, gamma rays, and novel direct detection techniques.
