I am a Scientist at Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata, India. I joined the Institute in 1988 as Scientist 'B' and presently working as Scientist 'G'.

     I was an Assistant Systems Engineer at M. N. Dastur Co. Ltd., Kolkata, India till 1988 after the completion of my graduation. I had completed my both 10 and 10+2 standards from Bidhannagar Govt. High School, Kolkata, India. My undergraduate degree is B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering which I received from Bengal Engineering College, Howrah, India in 1987. In 2004 it had been converted to a University and was named as the Bengal Engineering and Science University (BESU). My post graduate M.E. degree was also in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University.

     I was awarded National Scholarship by Government of India in 1981 and in 1983. My research interests are in Evolutionary Algorithms, Pattern Recognition, Bio-informatics and Data mining.

     I have reviewed research articles of several International Conferences and journals. In undergraduate and post-graduate levels I have taught different Computer Science courses in various Engineering Colleges and Universities.
