Leisurely the midnight now embraces the sea
As her dearest lover among others she
Took as paramour, he is but the most beloved
One can tell, by the fervour of their commerce.
Oh! The beguiling union! makes me covetous
The shore profound filled with moans of the sea,
Underneath the moonlight, pale yet placid
The grove abreast, sways in ebullience
Of the pairing, fondled by mizzle; they pay no heed.
Quietude transpires them, at their culmination; deific,
The lovers prattle, caressing the other; undraped,
The moon vigilant chaperone-- enounces it’s time,
For the day, unaware of the amour.
Quietly the midnight now pecked the sea
With promises of eternity, she parts at dawn
An enthralling whisper left a note---
Some memories are better cherished alone.
Some memories are better treasured alone.
Memoirs of a Union
