On 15 Years of Econophysics Research

Special Issue : Sep-Oct 2010

Vision Statement:
The mission is to conduct and foster excellent and interesting interdisciplinary research of significant utility. The proposed areas of focus are:

Econophysics: Application of many-body models and techniques developed in physics to comprehend various economic and social phenomena.

Geophysics: Dynamical models of seismic activities and earthquakes.

Quantum Annealing and Computing Systems: Developing a new paradigm for adiabatic quantum computation of hard optimization problems, utilizing the delocalizing effects of tunable quantum fluctuations and consequent annealing.

Complex Networks: Analysis of universal properties of networks: e.g., biological, neural, social, transport and information networks.

Tools for Coupled Nonlinear and Adaptive Systems: Develop analytical and computational tools for handling various many-body/ adaptive /self-organizing /optimizing systems.
