Holographic open quantum field theories with memory

Abstract        :

It is known that gravitational physics in asymptotically anti-de Sitter (AdS) blackbranes can describe hydrodynamic behaviour of strongly coupled gauge theories. But this narrative needs to be improved to include stochastic driving of the hydrodynamic modes due to microscopic fluctuations. From the gravity point of view this corresponds to taking into account the Hawking radiation from the blackbranes. I will describe some recent progress made towards this direction. We package our results in the form of an open effective field theory obtained after integrating out the fast relaxing modes of the boundary.
