Summer Students' Programme 2012
Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics
(SINP) conducts Summer Students' Programme in which students participate in research and developmental work that are of interest in SINP. The students participate in project work under the supervision of SINP faculty members. This programme is normally offered between the months of May and July and the expected duration of a project is approximately 6 to 8 weeks.Areas of research in SINP include Biophysics, Chemical Sciences, Crystallography & Molecular Biology, Experimental Condensed Matter Physics, Experimental High Energy Physics, Microelectronics, Nuclear & Atomic Physics, Plasma Physics, Surface Physics, Theoretical Physics and Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics.
Eligibility
First year M.Sc./equivalent B. Tech. students with excellent academic records in Physics/Biophysical/Chemical Sciences. The applicant must have a B. Sc. degree in the relevant field or should have completed at least 3 years of a 5 year integrated M. Sc. course. Only those candidates whose academic interests overlap with areas being pursued in SINP will be considered.Selection for this year's programme has already been completed. Announcement for next year will be posted in this website sometime around December 2012.
