Abstract | : |
Existence of quantum entanglement is one major way in which the quantum world differs from the classical world. Quantum entanglement plays a vital role in quantum information processing and is also at the background of several counterintuitive aspects of the quantum world. The talk will begin with an elementary exposition of quantum entanglement, and later bring out its connections with quantum nonlocality, quantum cryptography and quantum computation. In the last part I will talk about bound entanglement and some of our results and the open problems in this area. |
