Prof. Jogesh Pati of Stanford University, USA will deliver J C Bose lecture at Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics on 14th January, 2016. Prof. Pati is a well renowned particle theorist who has made major contributions in the area of unification of particles and their interactions. His work with Noble Laureate Prof. Abdus Salam is very well known and popularly called as Pati-Salam model. Along with Howard Georgi and Helen Quinn, Prof. Pati was awarded with the Dirac Medal in the year of 2000 for his seminal contributions to a "Quest for Unification". He is also a recipient of Padma Bhushan award given by Govt. of India.
