After a brief introduction to the Standard Model of particle physics I shall describe the high energy colliders leading up to LHC and their role in the discovery of these Standard Model particles. Then I shall discuss the Higgs and Supersymmetric particles, which are the main physics goals of LHC. I shall briefly discuss the prospects of discovering these particles at LHC along with their cosmological implications. |
