Abstract | : |
ITER is an ambitious project under construction in France. Based on the magnetic confinement scheme called ‘tokamak’, it aims to produce 10 times more fusion-power than consumed by the D-T plasma. Seven partners of ITER Agreement are: EU (~46% share of construction), China, India, Japan, S. Korea, Russia and the US (~9% each). In this talk, the overview of ITER project will be presented with a focus on the nine packages that India needs to contribute as per the ITER Agreement. Status of progress by the Indian Domestic Agency (ITER-India) in each area will be presented. |
