Abstract        :

From explicit numerical computation, we find thermalization in q=2 and q=4 SYK models. Thermalization in q=4 SYK model is expected. But thermalization in q=2 SYK model is significant because q=2 SYK model is not chaotic. According to the popular folkfore/intuition, one needs chaos and scrambling for thermalization. It has also been shown that q=4 SYK model satisfies Eigenstate Thermalization Hypothesis, while the q=2 model does not. I will talk about the results and the implications of our numerical analysis.
