Some observations on the bulk aspect of chaos in AdS/CF

Holographic CFTs with an AdS bulk dual have been proposed to be maximally chaotic (\lambda=2\pi/\beta). The SYK like (QFT) models which show similar behaviour for their 4pt out-of-time-ordered-correlator(OTOC) suggests the existence of a certain soft mode which is responsible for maximal chaos.This has led to recent investigations into the bulk (AdS) degrees of freedom which may holographically correspond to these soft modes. I would discuss an ongoing investigation of these soft modes in the AdS gravity and for a bulk system corresponding to a Nambu-Goto string in an AdS background.
