Title              :

Theory and Phenomenology of Multi-component Dark Matter in Left-Right Models

Speaker         : Debasish Borah , IIT Guwahati
Date                : November 21, 2016
Time               : 3:00 PM
Venue            : Room 3307
Abstract        :

Left-Right Symmetric Models (LRSM) are one of the most widely studied beyond standard model framework that can naturally explain neutrino mass and the origin of parity violation in weak interactions. This talk will be about different possible extensions of LRSM in order to accommodate dark matter which also result in several interesting phenomenology: multi-component dark matter with both cold and (or) warm dark matter components, possibility of the light neutrinos as Dirac fermions, pseudo-Dirac light neutrinos with enhanced contribution to lepton number violating signatures like neutrinoless double beta decay along with interesting implications for dark matter indirect detection as well as cosmology.
