It was decided that

"On this day of November 30, 2007 at 2-30 pm, we, the undersigned, who have assembled here in the Lecture Hall (Room No. 450) of SINP, Kolkata and have been associated in the past with the research/teaching or Engineering activities of Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, hereby resolve to form the 'Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics Alumni Association (SINP Alumni Association') with the following objectives:

1. To provide a forum for the reunion of the Alumni and to foster fraternity among themselves
2. To help and cooperate with all efforts for furthering the cause of the parent institution,
3. To work for the improvement of Education and Research in this country at large.


We also pledge to adopt a constitution for the said Alumni Association in order to realize the above objectives."
