Global interest is to understand the quantum many body systems (atomic nuclei) via strong and weak interaction with specific focus on the structure, reaction dynamics of exotic nuclei, nuclear astrophysics. Presently, my research topics are focused on disappearance of magic shell gap in the neutron-rich nuclei, modification of shell structure near drip-line, ground-state configuration of neutron-rich nuclei, exotic shapes, exotic decay near proton-drip line, resonance states, cluster structure, bulk properties, equation of state, quantum phase transition, fusion process near drip line, capture cross-section relevant to explosive burning scenario, neutron-skin, neutron star etc. Recently, curiosities drive towards understanding properties of active and sterile neutrino.

(performed experiments using facility at IUAC, New Delhi, TIFR, Mumbai (India), VECC, Kolkata(India); GSI Facility(Darmstadt, Germany); NSCL, (East Lansing, USA);  INFN Facility (Legnaro, Italy),  ISOLDE Facility  (CERN, Geneva),  GANIL (France).

Astroparticle physics (lab based expt, Acce. based expt.),

Neutrino , beta decay (Lab based expt.),

Cosmology, Natural Background radiation,

Developments of Multigap resistive plate chamber (MMRPC),
Working with various  types of ultra fast scintillators (LaBr3, plastic scintillator)
High resolution HpGe, Clover detectors etc.
