Research
Nanophotonics Group’s active area of research is “Multipodal and Multimodal Metal Nanopaticle based Optics, Dynamics, Spectroscopy and Analytical Chemistry: Fundamentals and Applications in Photonics, Sensing, Diagnostics, Catalysis, electro-optical device and Photoselective Therapy”.  We design multimetallic nanoparticles in the size range of 3-300nm, large enough to support a conduction band and results “localized surface Plasmon resonance” to happen. Due to the presence of these surface Plasmon resonances; weak absorption, emission or scattering processes are generally significantly enhances via strong electromagnetic fields at the surfaces of metal nanoparticles.

Active Fields of Interest: 1. Nanoscience & Nanotechnology 2. NLO 3. NSET 4. SERS & SEHRS 5. Photothermal Therapy, Lysis & Toxicity 6. Nano-Inspired Single Molecule Spectroscopy
