We are organizing a Workshop on "Tsunami and Nonlinear waves" in our
Institute (Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata, India)
on March 6-10, 2006.
Apart from general aspects of Tsunami the emphasis will be on the dynamical nature and possible nonlinear connection of Tsunami waves, along with some focus on nonlinear waves and nonlinear methods. The set up will be more of theoretical and mathematical nature. |
| Format: |
Participation by Invitation only. All invited lectures will be mostly of 1 hour duration, containing sufficient introductory material. Apart from invited lectures a few half-hour talks will also be arranged for other contributors. |
| Book Publication: | Springer (Geoscience) has agreed to publish a book on "Tsunami & Nonlinear Waves" based mostly on the lectures to be delivered in the workshop. |
| Logistics: | We will provide full local hospitality to all invited participants. (which includes accommodation, food, transportation, excursion, conf dinner). There is no Registration fee for this conference. |
