Main area of our interest is to understand how the immune disorder leads to the opportunistic proliferation advantage and differentiation abilities in hematological malignancies. Studies on immune modulation of the leukemia cells to understand the structure function correlation of MHC regulatory transcription factors (viz. CIITA, RFX complex, CREB, NF-complex etc) in an interdisciplinary approach is underway to design immunotherapeutic modalities. We are also investigating the aberrant gene expression pattern of CD34+ Leukemia Stem Cells with a view to design an effective viral based gene transfer vector to target leukemic cells.
