Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics is named after Professor Meghnad Saha, one of the luminaries of Indian science. The Institute was founded by him as a center for Nuclear Physics. Presently it is a premier Institute of India in the field of Physics and Other scientific disciplines.
March is the spring time in India. It is the end of winter and the onset of summer. The weather here during early March is dry and moderately hot. Temperature varies between 25 C to 30 C. Train The city has two major Railway stations connected to most other part of the country, namely Sealdah Station (6 Km from the Institute) and the other is Howrah Station (12 Km away from the Institute). Pre-paid Taxi services are available from both the stations. The local direction to the Institute is same as that given from Airport.
