Phase seperation in 1-d  



 It is said that, phase transition can not occur in  one dimension if interaction is local.
We show that a system  with local  dynamics can  exhibit phase seperation. Above, is a  picture of
density profiles of   three different kind of particles, say red, green and blue,
in our model ( with  J. Lebowitz and D. Mukamel) .
The macroscopic parameters  are fixed, however, different innitial conditions  equilibriate to
different density profile.
