Attempts on Chalk Medium (1990-94)

Since 1989, I have tried to do something with the chalk medium. I used to bring home chalks from school and work on them at my leisure. These are some examples. All except the last two pieces are magnified by 200%.
 

This is one of the earliest works I was happy with,  `Tribute to Rabindranath' (1991).
 

This triplet is quite heterogeneous in terms of subject. The first one `Meerabai' (1990) is just a broken portion of a larger project, created due to fragility of the chalk. The second one is an attempt `Durga' (1991). The third is the best of the three, `Eagle' (1992).

This duo is again heterogeneous, the first, `King of Babylon' (1992) & the second, `Swan' (1992).
 

This one is also a broken piece, `The Drummer' (1993).
 

This piece, a wall hanging, is anonymous (1992), presented to my mother on her birthday.
 

This priced collection of mine is a collection of faces, with different expressions.
The middle one in the bottom row, `Buddha' (1993), has been carved on plaster of paris.
